I know that after steam, a lot of curves were changed. I know when the 4449 was on the Coast there were a few places where they had speed restrictions for just the engine. (I think one was around old Tunnel 10 on Cuesta)

When I was a pilot on the 49, there was a 10 mph restriction around Cantera with the engine because the curve had been changed. We even had a helper on the point.
