Ha-ha Bill! Of course be sure to tell everyone that one of the reasons you bought that big CHP cruiser is that you needed someplace to put your long, lanky frame!
The story that Mr. C is referring to here is back in 1975, I had a new Mazda RX4 with a rotary engine. Those rotaries didn't get the best mileage, but they sure were quick! (Had its predecessor RX3 up to 125mph once.) Well, Bill was a member of the Rio Vista group, and my girlfriend and I went down to see the museum. We ended up leaving at the same time. I was in front, going north on 113 when I decided to show Bill how fast my car was. I wound her up to about 115mph when I looked in my rear view mirror and there was Bill about a half a car length behind me with this big old grin on his face. Well, I knew I was about at my full speed, and so I took my foot off the gas. My deceleration almost resulted in an accident as Bill almost rear ended me! Never dared challenge Mr. C in that car again.
