This looks more like a truly "bi-partisan" agreement to spend $25 million of your scarce taxpayer transportation dollars in Oregon to buy up some campaign contributors toxic real estate.

The bit about a rail transloading facility for the purpose of rail haul from Albany to the Port of Portland is a perfect example of the kind of transportation economics ignorance these politicians like to prattle about in order to try to justify some of these schemes.

I do know that California's taxpayers now own both the Bull Ring and the Taylor Roundhouse, two of the most toxic contaminated former SP sites in Sou Cal, so this is always a good way to get rid of that liability.
