The funny thing I remember about that trip was first being nervous about firing for Robert and then all of the things that I could have improved on particularly from Williams to Millers Wash. I wanted to put on a good blow down set there but it did not happen as much as I would have liked. I do remember her steaming like a mad up the hill and we ran the big gun all the way from Anita to almost Apex (now called Imbleau for Sam Imbleau a truly gifted roadmaster who died of cancer while employed by GCR). Only once I was able to run both guns (injectors 80 gal/min and 120 Gal/min) simultaneously when I fired 4960 and that was one 13 car day with 6773 behind Sam Lanter and I. We set out 6871 at Whillaha and made a run to the canyon with full tonage for both. We pasted MP 48 with both injectors going and holding 197 to 200 psi. I told Sam that he had everything he could get from me. It was one load and exciting trip.
