I asked Stan about the ex-P&L's ability to host six axle motive power. He said he did not know if NP/BN/BNSF had ever used locomotives with three axle trucks. I can't remember if he said the BNSF SD loco's had radial steering trucks or were rigid based, but he seemed confident six axle power could get over the line just fine.
