"Violent Convulsions" WTF? It's good we have really smart people who took the hard courses ding this right?

People build tunnels, like the hundred miles or so under LA and those "violently convulsive" San Gabriel Mountains, under Mt San Jacinto, through the "evil" San Andreas fault, for water, sewers, subways, and the like, you just don't know about any of them.

Yes, these "tunnels" would go through "evil" "dangerous" "scary" "catastrophic" "violently convulsive" seismic hell on earth itself....(do we need more scary adjectives...?) earthquake faults, just like folks do all over the world. And even we dumb Americans have done, with some success, since we started building tunnels for choo-choo's, and the like......

It has been my experience, that we generally have some really really very smart people, who took the really hard course work requiring a lot of math, geology, and engineering, in college and graduate school, do these things. In fact, there are likely to be whole teams of really smart people, who took those kind of hard courses, doing this.

Did you see the Subway/Earthquake disaster ride at Universal? You do know that's complete bull$#it, right...? The tunnels are in the ground that's moving, unlike the structure's on top, which are being "shaken" by that moving ground.... Just like the 20 or so earthquakes that have hit the Tokyo subway, and all of the HSR lines in Japan....where they have those "violently convulsive" earthquake faults too... And, about a 1000 other places almost everywhere else in the world.

So your point in this post is what exactly? We should all piss in our pants over this particular supposed "danger", why?
