Interesting video... must understandable explanation I've seen so far.

Along these lines we recently had an obviously new State FRA Inspector write a defect for leaving a switch engine tied up with both angle cocks closed. He said that this this was bottling the air! However the automatic brake valve was left either in service or emergency thereby making it impossible for the air to be bottled. Inside hand brake securely set.

Anyone out there care to comment...never been an issue in the 27 years we have owned the railroad.
