As 600v stated, Battery Trolleybuses can operate off the battery for something around 10 km without any restrictions (and 30 or so km in emergency mode (no AC, slow acceleration, limited speed, etc.).
So, if that loop to Daly City is shorter, no charging station is needed there. As soon as the BTB gets back under wires, the battery is recharged (regenerative braking always charges the battery as well).
To get a bit on a tangent, the biggest advantage of the BTB over a BEB (battery electric bus) is the lower deadweight. A BTB's battery weighs about 1 ton, whereas the battery of a BEB of similar length weighs 4 to 5 times that. So, the BTB is lighter, which means it can either transport more people, or needs less energy. And, the BTB does not need powerful charging stations in the garage of overnight charging. If any overnight charging is needed, the normal grid does it.
