Drew, why should you care? The $40 million NCRA is a drop in the bucket compared to the billions other agencies got. From the smallest bus operator to BART. NCRA got its fair share to re-open the railroad and reduce the carbon foot print in the North Bay. When the NCRA was FORMED IN 1990, a companion bill to FUND the agency NOT the railroad operations was vetoed by the GOP Governor. Since then, all administrative activities has been funded internally by real estate leases, encroachment permits and revenue from box cars. Nothing out of your pocket. Additionally, NWP will pay $350,000 annually for operating rights and like any railroad will be responsible for up keep. This is all a matter of public record on the website. Something you don't know, especially if you are so concerned about taxpayers money, I went before the MTC specifically to get funding for the NCRA. As a public agency, they are also eligible for a portion of the monies the MTC doles out to Transit Agencies. Any other questions?
