Greg, please tell me you are smoking the good stuff I sell. There was never a chance that 4449 was going to participate in the Ogden UP celebration. His Royal Highness Edward the Terrible would ever let another steam locomotive on UP rails than their own. Especially from Portland to Sacramento to Ogden and back. The UP lawyers make sure of that.

So hope on more rumors that 4014 is coming to Portland next year. Almost as good as the rumor that HRH has come to CA and personally looked at doing excursions down the Coastline....
