It can be confusing, but this is Virgin, which is building Brightline, not Las Vegas Xpress...

That "Express", actually Xpress, is the other, somewhat more ephemeral rail passenger proposal, that's been kicked around for what seems like ten years or so, with varying opinions as to its viability, that proposes using (and is purportedly in discussions with) Amtrak's operating rights over the existing UP and BNSF lines, to run (a ???) passenger train(s???) from San Berdoo to Las Vegas.
