I suspect that a revival of the Old - Skool Desert Wind under Amtrak auspices, with funding & management from Branson / Virgin / Brightline, could be quite successful in spite of its' " Normal " operating speed. I've read here before of massive traffic jams on Interstate 15 on Fridays & Sundays; perhaps just not having to drive would make the service attractive to many in spite of not really being any faster than driving.
