I am unimpressed with Gavin's indecision and slight of hand, "waffling" back and forth, on the CAHSRA fiasco. Although, there are some interesting subtexts to that, which are less obvious. And no, I absolutely oppose moving monies from those projects to prop up the CAHSRA taxpayer funded cluster f##k. But, I'm not sure that is entirely the case here.

The only greenhouse gas emissions reductions possible from the CAHSRA's current project, would be if we could capture the hot air that's been released by its supporters over the last 25 years, and sequester it, by pumping it back into the ground.

Although, in this particular "slight of hand" by Newsom, it looks to me like this is really where the funds are actually coming from to "fill out" the funding for the LAUPT run-through project.

So sometimes, you can't always judge an argument, by the "incomplete" and often self serving spin of some of these opponents, either. However, the only "point person" I've have seen in "action" from the Governor's office personally, mostly struck me as a pleasant enough "smiling" political eunuch, babbling happy talk, but without much serious to say that made any impression on me about what the Governor's transportation program actually is...
