Of course his comments on the rest of this thread where his typical horse crap, too.

And, speaking of "governance" and this idea be floated DiFi, and issues like the much better idea of Altamont/Dumbarton for the Bay-Valley HSR connector, with Altamont and San Joaquin usage, how many of you have ever called any of your elected officials to suggest or demand it?

It's what is really "needed" to get us first world rail passenger service in Nor Cal within 10-15 years, as opposed waiting to 2065 for the Pacheco Tunnel, with no benefits for any of the current severely congested corridors in the Bay Area... And, let's not forget the 7000 car parking structure in Gilroy, so the HSR can get people out of their cars....?

And, despite the "evil" nature of its nefarious "gauge", I definitely look at sharing a Dumbarton tunnel crossing project (like maybe parallel tunnels, with an "evil" BART connection, directly to many more of those jobs on the Peninsula and major "person trip" "special attractors" like SFO, directly from the lower East Bay and Livermore.

I went to a "what to do about the stub" of the 710 tunnel project in Pasadena this week, where a local Councilman who's been pushing "road diets" from the wealthiest District in the City, who lead the opposition to the 710 tunnel (which would have "drained" off significant local "cut through" and "spillover" on local Pasadena streets) is in trouble because of traffic congestion is getting a serious challenge. The mayor is in trouble for re-election for the same reason. And, I also got to see all of my local Nimby whackjobs, and "Freeway Fighters", who blocked a freeway with very real benefits, paid for by user tolls.

Is DiFi so out of touch with reality, that she really thinks that this new bridge, which would have the opposite effect of the 710 of pumping 150 to 200 thousand more trips into the upper Peninsula and City,, a highly constrained geographic space that is already built out, and already suffers from saturated levels of traffic congestion, and would create near traffic gridlock will fly, in an "anti-car" and "anti-traffic" Nimby political area like this, she's getting a wee bit daft...ain't she?
