Two points ignored in the posts.

Golden Gate Transit receives no taxpayer funded subsidies for bus operations. GGT is operated as mitigation to the Golden Gate Bridge. Same is true for GG Ferry. There is no local tax collected for any Golden Gate operations. All revenue for operations comes from fareboxes on buses, ferry fares and bridge tolls. The claim is false.

Golden Gate Transit Route 31 buses have been specifically operated under contract to SMART to carry SMART passengers between SMART San Rafael and the Golden Gate Larkspur ferry terminal. It was always then intent that once SMART began service to Larkspur that the Route 31 service would cease operation.

Marin Transit still serves both the San Rafael Transit Center and Larkspur via their Route 228.
