I never thought the vandalism which occurred in Pittsburgh earlier this year was "okay." However, it was not and is not definitional of Pittsburgh or urban America, in general.
By whose yardstick do you guys measure what is "definitional"? ANY A-N-Y degree of vandalism and destruction is not acceptable--especially if it's YOUR house or small business that has been vandalized or even burned down. How would you like to own a small business and see that the plate glass windows have been shattered by some AnitFa a-holes? Being a good little liberal, would you rejoice that you have insurance to cover the loss and jump for joy because the protesters were making a political statement that you happened to agree with? Let's see, what should we protest this week? Orange Man Bad, or did the cops shoot someone who was resisting and pulled out a gun? <-- (that's the most recent incident in San Bernardino, CA)
The fact that you guys are fishing around for justification for rioting and looting, and making a big deal over the fact that it's been (in YOUR opinion) on a small scale, drives home, to me at least, that you're a bunch of Liberal Leftist Loonies. The Constitution allows for PEACEFUL protest. Breaking plate glass windows, looting stores and setting buildings on fire does not meet that definition, no matter what scale its on. Whether or not the establishments have insurance should not even enter into the equation. But it now does. One day soon insurance will not be available--at ANY cost.
