As the "Ole Pole Burner" dude is out of town-- I will explain the SN/SP crossing a little further:

1. "LAS JUNTAS"
Juntas Translation. Juntas Definition from English Dictionaries & Glossaries ... juntarse el hambre con las ganas de comer = made for each other, ...

2. Interchange of Equipment :
The Sacramento Northern interchanged with the Southern Pacific at MC AVOY and also at LAS JUNTAS ... The SN interchanged with the Santa Fe at BAY POINT...

3. Milepost ID : On the Southern Pacific, LAS JUNTAS was officially SP Station # 10408 and was situated at MP 45.8 on SP's San Ramon Branch.

4. Distance from SN Ferry Slip: LAS JUNTAS was 16.03 miles WEST of the SN ferry slip at MALLARD...

5. SPARKLE was 0.10 mile WEST of LAS JUNTAS on the SN...

6. Spur Track Capacity: LAS JUNTAS spur on the SN could hold up to fifteen (15) cars..
SPARKLE spur track on the SN could hold up to ten (10) cars..

7. LAS JUNTAS Freight Station : Designated by SP as "Class 'E' "
