I always get a kick out of formers like you. Some of what you folks post here is hilariously funny. It's like if I started posting on a doctors' website, giving information about how to perform a heart transplant.

There's one guy here - he might be a truck driver by occupation - who posts here frequently, sharing his vast knowledge of various aspects of the railroad industry. It seems he's acquired said "knowledge" by reading railbuff books. Two reliable/knowledge authors who often post here are Jeff Moore and Wes Fox. But our truck driver friend likes to quote from an author who's published a number of books (particularly about locomotives) - and his books often have errors. Anyone who's worked for a railroad (especially SP) can easily pic 'em out, but they're not so obvious to the run-of-the-mill railbuffer. That's how railbuff rumors become railroad facts. No, SP 6018 wasn't a demonstrator. No, 6378 wasn't the first unit painted scarlet and gray. But in Railbuffland, actual facts don't matter, right? Just like your cause-and-solution to UP's cargo theft problems.

Ya know, I saw your post asking to see photos of SP's PoPo cabeese. I didn't bother answering it because I figured if you're not smart enough to do a simple online search, why should I be bothered. Good thing, someone else did it for you, eh?
