I remember the first time I saw an SDP45; at the time a "welcome change" from the endless parade of H24-66's, GP9's and that occasional F7 on the commute fleet as it accelerated smoothly out of Palo Alto in the evening light on 99. The last time I saw one was handling a freight train out of Galt, its paint no longer passenger fresh.
