If you were a hard-core liberal, you would have no more objection to a person riding on a coupler, drunk or otherwise, than you would a person going on a shoplifting spree at your neighborhood Walgreens. The point being, in the name of diversity, equity and inclusion, you're not supposed to be judgmental. It's not your business to concern yourself with who trespasses or who shoplifts if it doesn't directly affect you. Those are non-violent crimes, after all. *sarcasm*

There's more truth to it than you'd like to think.
> However, as a liberal Democrat, I will grudgingly admit if right-wing Republicans were running the country, state of California and the City & County of San Francisco, these kinds of things would never happen. Right-wing Republican politicians would eliminate all federal, state and local funding for public transportation resulting on no rail transit systems on which incidents could occur.
I am revolted by your generalization. First of all, it's not true. The City and County of San Francisco was, at one time, governed by Republicans and there was plenty of public transportation.
