If - IF - The Powers That Be - do decide to reinstate the North Coast Hiawatha, I would expect to see it run via Helena & Bozeman rather than Butte. The former Northern Pacific's Homestake Pass line has been Out of Service since the NCH was discontinued in Oct., 1979, and as such has not received any maintenance. Also, Helena is the State Capitol.
