And Idaho and Utah got stiffed. Idaho is a small, politically insignificant state that is (for now) deep red, so it's not surprising it got left out. Boise proper has only 250,000 residents, although the Treasure Valley has about 700,000. Rail service won't make a comeback until the Boise metro area hits 1,000,000 people, which at the rate things are going should be sometime next year.
