It's not growing that fast, that was hyperbole. Idaho is growing at a rate of about 2% per year or 35,000 new arrivals.

HP has decamped, and Motive Power has been gone for 4 years now. Micron is still here and expanding, Amazon too.

Boise is the only major population center between Portland and the Salt Lake area. That said, there are plenty of smallish cities along the way that could use an option for travel besides airlines.
