Thank goodness he was a white guy. If he had been a member of a certain demographic / racial group, there would have been press conferences called, claiming that the officer over-reacted, riots in the streets, buildings being burned down and, eventually, a statue and memorial dedicated to the dude who got shot and killed. The police officer would have been jailed and knifed once he was in jail.
