First, the Chargers are way to complex, Second, the avergage Amtrak maintenance person is not educated enough on the product to be effective without Siemens direction, Third Siemens people do not have enough time or proper formal training on the locomotives themselves. Amtrak and Siemens always put the "Cart ahead of the Horse" in their daily businesses.

The Charger customers were forced to purchase these turds by the ARRA funds and the PRIIA requirements for federal dollars, when in reality everyone should have done something like METRA is doing with the SD70 rebuilds.
