Several of the ten RS32's were on the Peninsula for local work but on occassion the were used as protection for the commute fleet. Living on Newhall St, many times I saw one of them leading a commute train with a dead FM or GP9 in tow. Unfortunatly, I was never able to get a photo of them in that service. Oh, the deprivation of living in an age before the internet.
