I did do some work on SP 4004 when she first showed up at Portola around 1990. Was it that long ago?
There was fertilizer dust over everything, so I comandeered a shop vac and started cleaning. You wouldn't believe just how much of that nasty stuff I got off that machine. Norm Holmes had to ask me to lay off putting it all in the same garbage cans as they got too heavy to lift.
Never ran it, but did roll the engine over once or twice.
