I never got into Kneiling and his simple diagrams of unit trains.
The 1970s had a lot happening. Instead of only Kneiling, maybe Trains could've had someone explain the industry to the railfan readership: regulation, bankruptcy, labor unions, federal and state support. Missed opportunity by the editor (David Morgan?). No one hits 1000.
The compact Chevy Vega was a good concept. So was Vertapac. Sounds like it failed in the execution. Honda then showed us how to make autos.
