Re: New transportation bills signed into law? All hail Scotty and "complete" streets?

Clem is busy celebrating the achievements of Scott Wiener, who is a perfect example of the best "gubmint" that contractors and developers can buy in California...
We've built enough "complete streets" traffic dams in my City to increase our average bus travel times on our transit system by over 10%, losing still more riders, and costing the 200,000 daily vehicle trips in my City an average travel time increase of 10% as well, costing all of us tens of millions of dollars in an additional 10% in lost time and fuel costs, reducing the range of EV's by 10%, and increasing cut through/spillover traffic, forced off of our gridlocked arterials, overflowing onto our residential streets and into our neighborhoods.
Now, with Scotties bills to allow more density without funding transportation improvements we will see more trips (and without adequate parking) on an already overloaded and built out local street network, and our crappy transit services will offer even slower and less useful services to accommodate that higher density, as well.
Heckuva a job Scotty Wiener...
I have no problem with electrification, but Clem tells me that the Arrow should only be operated under $25 million dollar a mile catenary to "stick it to the man, and his fossil fuel cabal" by preventing other green technologies that don't benefit only the contractors who have been actively lobbying against hydrogen to promote their own greed based self interest in stringing wires where they are not cost effective, nor necessary to achieve zero emissions outcomes.
