It is my understanding that the Canadian Army shipped armoured and logistical equipment by rail to El Paso for desert warfare training in the States prior to deployment to Afganistan. The Canadian military has been fighting in the Ghan since day one with us, and has at times, provided a significant amount of the forces actually engaged in combat with the Taliban and Al Quaida. They have also taken causualties only second to the US.
