Steve, you mentioned in another post that Sound Transit is currently rebuilding its line between M Street and South Tacoma.

When I was up in South Tacoma Sep. 25, I drove past the SW 50th St. grade crossing and noticed that, amid whatever work had already begun, they hadn't yet touched the main track. Are they saving this until last so that Tacoma Rail can still serve its customers?

BTW, do you know how long Tacoma Rail has been staging its Nisqually Line freight at Dupont? I drive up to Fort Lewis the last Friday of each month and see it parked there in the early evening every time. It usually has a pair of GP38s (#3801 and #3802), although I have also seen pairs of GP20s and GP40s.

I recall that they had been staging at East Olympia previously. I'm curious to know when this changed.
