I remember when Rob had to shut the place down for awhile because things got out of hand one day. Running this board is usually a thankless task--and there are some who just want a free place to rip somebody a new one. I made the mistake of poking through the little "vent session" thread that eventually got out of hand. I was glad that it apeared to be blowing itself out, but it got pretty ugly before it did. Free speech is great (and anybody how knows me knows how much I value Consitutional guarantees)--but you can't expect somebody else to foot the bill for keeping a forum operastional just so that you can drop a few 4-letter words and have an on-air squabble. Right now, Dave is running the most "open" RR discussion site available. I think that's why most of us are here. Some would have had the thread removed in 5 minutes and the participants banned. Let's do a little better job of self-policing and self control. If some of you guys know each other by name, you might have another way to "take it outside".
