It was always interesting to watch both (SP and SF) switch Hunt's. The SF would handle much of the
outbound carload traffic while the SP handled some plus the tank car traffic. Anyway, the Oakdale
Terminal thing was only the trackage past where the Hunt's switch is off the ex-SP to end the of
track down towards the highway (on the way to Montpelier) crossing. Don't think they ever did
anything with it, I remember our guys in our Modesto office saying that there was talk in Oakdale
of doing an industrial park south of Hershey's next to the track.
