I would add, while UP has a policy of only running their own steam locomotives on their tracks, they have graciously allowed the Portland locomotives to stay at the Brooklyn roundhouse and provided access to BNSF and other railroads tracks for excursions ever since they took over SP.

You can't say they haven't been good to the 4449 and 700, they just have a policy.
