The little 4-4-0 lettered for the Western Pacific ran in the Zoo up until the early 70's when construction of a new gorilla facility. For literally decades, the train was stored in the elephant house until it was rebuilt by members of the Golden Gate Railroad Museum. It now runs in a different part of the zoo on a shorter line.
