Drew probably meant to say that the old zoo train layout was closed and the old site was then used to create the new gorilla compound. I remember riding the train in the late 40s and the 1950s. I remember seeing the cars stored inside the Lion House, but can't recall if the 4-4-0 was. Happily today you can ride the train again, and it moves along at a pretty fast clip.
