I guess your right - Mr History!

My report did forget one critical detail - I forgot to say "it's all Bush's fault", or Reagan's. -- My Bad!

I hope the sand is soft over there, easier to put your head in it then! Then again - it is just plain amazing what drivel passes for history nowadays - but too bad I wasn't born just yesterday - I was there!

Of current concern though - The replacement project for the shuttle has apparently been "Defacto" canceled by the current White House Occupant, or was it "The Most Powerful Woman in The World", that did it. Or are they all just way too damn busy with much weightier matters - just now?

Whatever - the plain fact is, that these economy stimulating projects have gone completely unfunded since mid 2008; even though contracts have been signed sealed and delivered, and much work has already been accomplished. The companies involved have not been paid while the continuing appropriations were thought merely lost in the Washington shuffle. Already, the first 35,000 layoffs should be about complete, even before the announcement of "Outsourcing" by the President.

How do I know this? Simple - Family members were thus employed, but were among those laid off last October right in the middle of a major federal contract. It was quite a shock, hadn't happened anywhere near this bad ever before (at least not at that company); and never in the middle of a successful project. But with 35,000 to be let go all at once, there was no dodging it.

At first they were being told it was just a funding SNAFU in Washington and that they would be called back when it was straightened out. But with Mr Obummer's recent announcement, that ain't likely gonna happen. Now - There will be hundreds of thousands more layoffs this year, and hundreds of thousands more again as this ripples throughout the economy in the coming months.

Meanwhile, nothing but smoke and mirrors is being thrown at the passenger train. Now just wait - what will you say when the very same "continuing appropriations" SNAFU trick, deprives your favorite train project of its share, of the paltry $8 billion it was promised. Of course a mere $8 billion over 10 years wouldn't have bought much anyways.

Now If he had been really serious about it . . . . . .Has anybody figured out yet what "PRIMROSES" smell like, as we all are taken down the garden path! As Simom & Garfunkle once sung: "The words of the Prophets are written on the subway walls - tenement halls" ---- We are Done - if this continues.....

But maybe if the sand is soft enough, I might join you. That way, I wouldn't notice either; and neither will all those thousands thrown out of work - right! . . . . .
