SP station in SF -- same location as CalTrain?

Way back in the cracks of my feeble mind I remember that the SP's station in San Francisco was listed in the 1959 Guide at 3rd and Townsend, which is one block further than the present-day CalTrain station at 4th and King. I don't have a copy of the Guide handy, so I'm wondering if I'm dreaming, or has the station really been moved??
