I recall reading that the 65 Market St. headquarters building was designed for railroad tracks to enter on the back of the structure.
Passenger Rail service to the Ferry Building, and / or Transbay Terminal, has been an ongoing issue for 70 years or more. It has been tossed about again lately, but where the money will come from, in a financially broken economy & state, is the biggest problem.
