I stayed a night in Fernie last August. From 3pm to 9am the next morning 8 trains passed. Most were coal but a couple were run through trains from Lethbridge to the UP at Eastport, ID. These manifests ran with UP power. In addition to the CP coal to the Sparwood area and the manifests grain trains also run over Crowsnest and head to the border at Eastport.

The best part is the entire area is dispatched under OCS so all you need is a good radio to know what is going on!
