Do any large cuise ships come to Eureka? Look at the Yukon RR. If they only thought of this, a tourist train to the nearest redwood grove for a day would really attrack the people on the boats. Eureka has one of the highest unemployment rate in the state, and until they legalize grass in Ca, and Redwood Valley Grass gets taxed, they are boned.

Let's really start a bitchsession: say that HSR is coming from Sa Francisco to the area, and all of the $$$$$ priced lawyers are moving up to the area.....
