Track centers:
Current UP standard is 14'. Current BNSF is 15'. Current NEW mainline centers are 25'.
Each State sets their own minimum clearances. The Both the UP and the BN minimum standards exceed the current most restrictive of any of them. I'd have to check, but I think that a couple of States still allow 13'--but that doesn't mean that either the UP or the BN will even consider building anything that tight.
