" First we kill all the Lawyers." A quote from Wm. Shakespeare I believe. Not a bad idea considering the multitude of lawyers out there. The increased legal fees are allowed by trial judges, which cuts into the payout for the victims. Of course what is a judge, but a lawyer who steps up a notch ??? Unfortunately the personal injury lawyers have a valid argument this time, considering the gross negligence of the engineer & lax safety atmosphere that existed @ Metrolink / Connex when the accident occurred. I don't think $200 Million will settle it, regardless of the Federal limits imposed. In the end, we all will pay for this settlement through higher fares & taxes to cover the higher insurance premiums.
