Oh yea - it was Reading 2100. And yes Tom Payne tried running it on Tacoma Rail's ex - Milwaukee Road line up Tacoma Gulch. First trip resulted in a derailment on the curve @ Brown & Haley. I recall he had to make a longer tender drawbar. Despite a wye in Frederickson, the steamer had to operate uphill ( facing South ) in both directions or the water would flow away from the crown sheet. Several trips were run, then it faded away. Please note this excursion was NOT the same as the relocated Spirit of Washington Dinner Train, though they both used the same line. Previous posts here have detailed the financial mess & ownership issues with the steamer.
A note to D: The wineries in Woodinville are actually accessed from the Redmond line, a mile or so South of Woodinville Jct. The Spirit of Washington Dinner Train, upon arriving in Woodinville Jct., would pull up past the switch, then back down to the platform @ Columbia Crest Winery. Having an F - Unit on each end made this easy, as well as not having to wye the train each trip in Woodinville then running the power around in Renton, as was done in the early years.
