Some posters appear to be missing the point.

It is astoundingly rare for an abandoned railroad to be reactivated, and almost as rare for an application to be filed in the first place.

Check out the comments posted to the Seattle Times story. They are overwhelming supportive of the GNP railway. I think this speaks in just one small way to the general public's great reawakening of rail as a viable industry and transportation choice. I hope Mr. Bromley and others who monitor this board have noticed the paradigm shift and are positioned to take advantage of it.
