Steve,
There is indeed a lot of light rail traffic on Portland's Steel Bridge. All Red (airport), Yellow (expo center - north & some day to Vancouver WA), Green (Mall 205 - SE), and Blue (Gresham - east) light rail trains must cross this bridge. Yes, that is all the light rail lines we have in Portland. Of course the Blue also goes to Hillsboro (far west).
One reason that the new Milwaukie light rail line is being planned for a new pedestrian/bike/streetcar/light rail bridge near OMSI is that one can see runnning out of capacity to put trains across the top deck of the Steel Bridge unless a new bridge is built. Arlen
