I seem to recall (without researching) that the original BART plan was for the subway to go out Geary and then over the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin.

Is the BART Board political? Of course. We elect people to serve on the BART Board to do the public will. If we aren't satisfied with their decisions, perhaps we ought to contribute to candidates whose judgement we are more satisfied with.
