The newspaper article mentions NCRA spending $ 68 Million to restore service on the South end. OUCH !!! I wonder how much more money ( state tax funds ??? ), has been spent on lawyers to fight another public agency ??? I've tried to stay out of the great NWP / NCRA / SMART debate, and I'm all in favor of restoring rail service on the NWP, however all the money spent so far has not resulted in one single revenue run. With the hard winter already being experienced on the West Coast, will all this money ( and more ) end up flowing down the river into the sea yet again ???
