Of course, this gives you an idea of how much faster Amtrak could be if UP kept its trains out of the way all the time. This is just a guess, but Secretary LaHood has been beating up on the Class Is and threatening some more draconian punishments for freight-induced lateness. Perhaps UP is behaving itself, in the great tradition of "Hide the slingshot when the teacher is looking."
