So you want some more irony, read your own post ---

"Using the word "known" in the manner that I did is a common propaganda technique used to disparage opponents in a debate. See the reference to Mormons just above" - which was - "....regard Mormons as nothing more than a satanic cult"

Your posts seem to read as though you agree with them - but just how could you really know for yourself unless you joined them.

But what irony! You pointing out irony in a disparaged Beck, supposedly disparaging Obama's religion; while you in fact proceed to disparage Becks religion. Double Irony, anyone!

Besides which, if you really do need to use "propaganda techniques" just to disparage someone, I could easily suspect that your point probably couldn't stand the heat of an honest debate anyway.

> I don't listen to Beck. The post was based on news reports on his public rally.

Now if you already were not listening to Beck, just how was he cramming anything down your throat as you claimed - Apparently falsely!

So you now claim that without actually watching him, you somehow know all about him - and we are to actually believe that this too is not also false. Apparently, you took biased (all media always is), out of context 2nd hand reports, and a few sound bites; and then drew a major disparaging conclusion. Since you did not hear all of what Beck said, or even very much at all of it, you can't possibly know the totality of any of it - at all.

More Irony yet! -- while also disparaging the apparent prejudice of these other radio preachers - you demonstrate your very own prejudices by forming negative opinions, with only a very tiny fraction of the facts - and then spewing then forth.

I do not know much about what Beck's huge rally was really about, nor the context of how he questioned Obama's religion. But I do know a couple of reasons why people are edgy about him. In the '08 campaign, he himself declared at least twice, how the "Constitution is archaic and just gets in the way". I heard his own voice, myself - twice! - He also stated during the campaign, that the reason that Americans are so unaware of their own hardships and suffering, is because they use their various religions to totally numb themselves from feeling any reality; and also hide behind their guns. I heard the whole speech myself.

Now that does sound pretty anti-religious to me - not to mention anti-American Constitution. Now when someone uses rhetoric like that out of one side of their mouths; then claims out of the other side to be a practicing American Christian; it does seem a bit in-congruent to say the least.

But most edgy of all in my view, is the plain fact that atheistic Carl Marx wrote those very same thoughts about religion 100+/- years ago right in the "Communist Manifesto", which was once taught in high school history. Obviously, either Mr. Obama was just pandering to the left wing here, or truly believes that stuff himself.

Now for the good news about Mr. Obama: unlike most politicians, he was very forthright and open about all of this. He did not hide any of it. ---

The bad news? - He was very was forthright and open about all of this. He meant it!.

You too seem to claim to be a "Christian". I suppose I could challenge or disparage that, but I won't.

I will say however, that un-Christlike behavior, in this case prejudice, easily speaks for itself, no matter who's doing it.
